May Update

I know its been a while since I last gave everyone an update. Therefore just wanted to send one out to let you all know how things are coming along.

Alex, one of the members, has kindly put together a draft constitution which is great. I have had this looked over and I met with one of the Community Regeneration Workers for the North East yesterday, who had looked over the document. They had kindly on the groups behalf, spoke to Dundee Voluntary Action and the suggestion of the group looking into a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) was suggested. I have been given a document to look over so I am hoping to do this over the next few days/week.

Next, a few of us met last week in the Fintry Library where we went over some potential garden design ideas. It is the hope that we will have a very basic draft design in time for the Fintry Gala Day, which is in August and present this to the general public and ask their feedback, opinions and ideas. I am meeting with the school (Fintry Primary) to go over some ideas also, as we think it is vital to get some of the school pupils ideas and feedback on the design also.

We have two new, potential volunteers/members, Kirk and Garry so a very warm welcome to you both.

We are also hoping to get our pilot beds into the site soon, hopefully over the next few weeks.
